About Air Care Pets

AirCare Pets are one of the foremost 100% New Zealand owned international pet transport companies.

The business is a family owned and operated.

We commenced NZ operations in 1998 in Auckland and have grown steadily since then to become  one of New Zealand’s foremost animal transport companies.

In 2015 we commenced pet transporting services from Australia to provide a full service option for pet travel both directions across the Tasman. This service has proven very popular for pedigree breeding stock, working dogs, and families moving to a new country. The Sydney services have been expanded to provide export services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

Every member of the AirCare team from the pet travel consultants to the pickup drivers, and even the accounts staff are all animal lovers with the skills to care and respect your pets needs.

Our head office and New Zealand base is near Auckland International Airport. We have a proven range of agents and associates in all the main centres throughout NZ and Australia.

Company founder Shelley Walker is a well known breeder and exhibitor with her own pedigree dogs. Shelley is a specialist in those demanding jobs where the animals or the destinations require specialist knowledge and planning. Our business timeline

1990 

Shelley Walker commenced Trans Tasman shipping of pets
operating from Papakura

1995

The business added services to UK and USA/Hawaii

2000

We moved to dedicated facilities in Puhinui Rd with close
access to Auckland Airport

2005

Additional staff were added and the business grew again with
full world services for imports, exports, and domestic pet transportation.

2007

Aircare Pet Services Ltd was incorporated as a NZ Company.
The management team expanded to include Garry Walker as the CEO.

2010

The company grew further with the addition of the Animal
Transit facility in Puhinui Rd

Services were increased with the addition of Licensed Customs
import services.

The company also became a full member of IPATA the
internation pet transport association based in USA.

2022

Moved to expanded facilities in Glasgow Ave Manukau adding
cage hire and sale services.
